Another favorite of mine. I love the noticeable change in time signature and structure between the verse and chorus. Time was of the essence and nothing was going to prevent me from getting this album done so when I did the vocal half of my face was swollen due to an abcessed tooth. It gave a little different sound to my voice for better or for worse. Additional scat harmony vocals are my additional twist as well as the guitar solo. Many of these songs have plural pronouns referring to self because they were originally written with a choir in mind. I felt no need to change that since most of them have more than one voice even though the voices are all mine.
lyrics
Who gives the tunes to the melodies
Of songs we love to sing
Who gives the chords and the beats you hear
To all the songs that we bring
Jesus He gives the tunes and the melodies
To songs we love to sing
Who is the unseen composer of
The songs that come to our minds
Who gives us words of faith and love
That blend so well in time
Jesus He gives the tunes and the melodies
With words of faith and love
guitar solo
Brothers and sisters we sing to you
With words He's placed in our souls
If through our songs He speaks to you
Then we've reached one of our goals
Jesus He gives the tunes and the melodies
Of songs we love to sing
Words of faith and words of love
That we bring to you
