In addition to the choir my dad also started a guitar group of some young people including my aunt who is really like a sister to me as she's only 5 years my senior, my cousin Terry St. Blanc, Bonnie St. Blanc, me and a few others. He wrote this song in particular for that group so I think he was going for a more youthful sound at the time.
lyrics
Ask it shall be given you
Seek and you shall find
Knock it shall be opened to you
I am yours and you are Mine
These things that you ask of Me
Believe that you'll receive
Then it shall be added unto you
I am yours and you are Mine
Don't ever doubt one moment
What I will do for you
Abide in Me and I'll abide in you
I'll always see you through
Ask it shall be given you
Seek and you shall find
Knock it shall be opened to you
I am yours and you are Mine
Don't ever doubt one moment
What I will do for you
Abide in Me and I'll abide in you
I'll always see you
I'll always see you through
Ask it shall be given you
Seek and you shall find
Knock it shall be opened to you
I am yours and you are mine
You are the branches I am the vine
I am yours and you are Mine
