One of the last songs he wrote for the first choir in the catholic church which disbanded around 1977.I barely remembered this one when I pulled out the lyric sheet but it all came back soon enough.
lyrics
Lord I'm guilty
Of causing You strife
Of taking Your life
I'm guilty
Lord I'm guilty
Of causing You pain
Time and again
I'm guilty
When it seemed that there was no hope for me
That's when You came into my life that day
You made me the person I should be
So now I say
Lord I'm sorry
For making You cry
My heart yearns to sigh
I'm sorry
Lord forgive me
For hurting You so
I'm guilty I know
Lord forgive me
Once my soul was red as scarlet
That's when you died for me
When I think of my past You say forget it
I've set you free
Lord forgive me
For hurting You so
I'm guilty I know
Lord forgive me
And I just wanna say now
Thank You Lord for forgiving me
I guilty Lord but You set me free
I'm happy Lord that You died for me
Oh thank You Lord
Thank You Lord
I'm guilty
I'm guilty
